This badge certificate is a micro-credential, which confirms that the person completed the international modular training for youth workers on programme design in international youth work settings.
The residential training activity occurred in Lithuania from 28th November to 4th December 2023. The course participant carried out preparation activities before and follow-up activities after the course. 60 hours of work (equals 2 ECTS) is the estimated time the learner invested to achieve the following learning outcomes at ISCED level 5:
Assessing young people's needs early in the activity planning and making necessary adjustments; Involving young people in the programme design when possible; Applying non-formal learning principles in programme design with emphasis on youth-centeredness, transparency, democratic values, participation, empowerment, and social transformation; Aligning activity objectives with young people's needs; Navigating through uncertainties related to the programme; Addressing unexpected factors impacting the programme's development; Challenging underlying values of the programmes when necessary; Viewing young people in a holistic manner; Maximising opportunities in planning for young people to interact with diverse value systems; Applying GDPR regulations; Reflecting critically on copyright rules and applying diverse authorship rights such as copyleft and creative commons; Adopting a do-it-yourself approach in line with maker culture, emphasising repair, tinkering, and enhancement of own devices and technology.
The participant could choose a flexible learning pathway through non-formal training and informal learning activities. The learner could choose to submit evidence of learning outcomes to eight out of thirteen digital Open Badges required to earn this badge certificate. Peer review supported participants' reflection and understanding of learning outcomes. The course training team reviewed and approved badge evidence.
